abstract = {The paper presents the new version of the IF language and validation environment. The main new features of the language concern the ability to describe dynamic architures by means of concepts for dynamic creation and distruction of processes and communication channels, hierarchical states and a simplification of the action structure, allowing in particular the inclusion of external code. The main changes in the toolset concern the exploration engine, generating the semantic model: each process or signalroute is represented as an object with an internal state and a set of fireable(local) transitions, depending on its current state (where Time is a specialised process dealing with the management of all (running) clocks). Coordination is realised by a process manager which scans the set of local transitions, chooses the fireable one(s) with respect to global (system) constraints, askd the corresponding processes to execute these transitions and updated the global state accordingly. },
